1. About Dormlet
Dormlet is a marketplace that connects students seeking short-term sublets with students listing their spaces. We facilitate introductions only — we are not a party to any rental agreement between users.
2. Eligibility
You must be a currently enrolled student or recent graduate to use Dormlet. A valid .edu email address is required. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of listings you post.
- You must comply with your lease agreement and university housing policies before subletting.
- You are responsible for any rental agreement you enter into with another user.
- You agree not to post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal listings.
4. Dormlet's Role
Dormlet does not verify listings, screen users beyond .edu email confirmation, or guarantee the accuracy of any listing. We are a technology platform, not a real estate broker or property manager. All transactions are between users directly.
5. Prohibited Conduct
- Posting listings for properties you do not have the right to sublet.
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward other users.
- Using Dormlet for commercial subletting or property management.
- Creating multiple accounts or misrepresenting your identity.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Dormlet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, listing accuracy, or successful matches. Use the platform at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
Dormlet is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including disputes between users, lost deposits, or housing issues.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Dormlet after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
